On Aug. 15, 2003, a M5.3 earthquake occurred at 40.98N, 125.60W [1]. Is there a precursor? Yes, I had exhibited an image of earthquake fog and mentioned its epicenter and magnitude on Jun. 8 [2]. The following is a comparison.
|
| Time | Latitude (N) | Longitude (W) | Magnitude | |
| My Prediction | 6/8~9/4 | 40.5~42.3 | 124.8~126 | >=5 |
| The Earthquake | 8/15 9:22 | 40.98 | 125.6 | 5.3 |
|
Like earthquake clouds and geoeruptions, earthquake fog forms from a fixed place suddenly. Unlike earthquake clouds, vapor of earthquake fog erupts through many crevices. Therefore, its shape looks not dense.
