EARTHQUAKE CLOUDS AND
SHORT TERM PREDICTION

My Nias, Sumatra, Indonesia Earthquake Prediction Is Correct

- March 30, 2005 -

On Jan. 10, 2005, I predicted an earthquake of magnitude >=5.3 in India or Indonesia islands of longitude less than100E [1] in our web site. The cloud had a length over 1,100km that predicted an earthquake of magnitude over 8 comparing with the 830 km India earthquake cloud on Nov. 9, 2000 [2], having predicted the 8.0 Gujarat, India earthquake on Jan. 26, 2001. However, it was hard to predict such an magnitude because of two impediments: a satellite data problem, revealed by the 6M5 Indian Ocean cloud in Fig. 8 of "Bam Earthquake Prediction & Space Technology" (Bam Paper) [3], and an earthquake data problem, discussed in Earthquake Data Problems[4]. Besides the both problems, another satellite data problem, discussed by the 7.8 Turkey cloud in Fig. 10 of the Bam Paper, is very serious, too.

On March 28, 2005, an earthquake of magnitude 8.7 happened near Nias at 2.06N, 97.01E [5]. It killed 290 people, and injured 100. If people worry about a devastating earthquake, they'd better convince governments to solve those problems.
