It has been sunny and warm like in the early summer or the middle of the fall in Los Angeles County since December 16. Many people enjoy it for the Christmas, but abnormal weather is not good. There must be something wrong. I checked satellite images, and found the cause, geothermal emission. From Image 1999122009, we can see the original black triangle in the east of Southern California has gradually disappeared after the 7.0 Hector Mine quake, but two new black areas or geothermal emissions have appeared, which are releasing heat and making abnormal weather To show more evidence, I would like to exhibit another image 99122001. The black warm area was surrounded by the white cold regions. The fault called "1857 Ft. Tejon M 8 1/4" is parallel with or even superimposed on the northeast border between the black and the white. New quakes are forming, we need earthquake clouds to tell us the exact the times and the sizes. Like the time when I missed the 7.0 Hector earthquake cloud, I may miss the new clouds again due to the lack of a good weapon (see Give Us A Good Weapon To Hit Earthquakes on August 26, 1999). On the other hand, the USGS is the most powerful office in geological field in the world. They can put an instrument onto a satellite to measure 1 mm relative displacement at Los Angeles, so they have the ability to set up an infrared instrument onto a synchronous satellite to peer at California and other states, Canada, Mexico and Central America to find where and when earthquake vapor is erupting, therefore all big and medium earthquakes in North America will be able to be predicted correctly. I hope that the USGS would like to do this meaningful work for North America people, including themselves. This work is also meaningful for all people in the world. |
